Sarah Canice Funke was home-schooled through primary and secondary school in beautiful Colorado. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in both music and philosophy at Covenant College in Georgia (2004). In Apr.-Jun '05, she spent one term in Oxford as a visiting student examining issues in music and narrativity. She finished her Masters of Arts in Music Criticism at McMaster University in September 2007. Reading is Sarah's favorite pastime, and the used bookstores in her area are well-patronized. In addition to her favorite classical composers J. S. Bach, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, and Igor Stravinsky, Sarah also enjoys listening to the Beatles and Radiohead, finding intriguing cross-overs between the various musical genres of the 20th century.
